Pickup & FAQ
Pickup, at a glance
Do you ship?
No — and we never will. Macarons don’t travel well, and we’d rather you have them perfect. Every order is local pickup only in the Central Richmond, San Francisco.
How does the ordering rhythm work?
The menu drops weekly. Place your order by Sunday at midnight, and your box is baked fresh for pickup the following Saturday, 10am–2pm. Miss the cutoff? You’re first in line for next week’s drop.
How should I store them?
Airtight container in the fridge; they’re at their best within 3–4 days. Let them sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before eating — that’s when the texture sings. They also freeze beautifully for up to a month.
What about allergens?
Every macaron contains almonds (tree nuts), eggs, and dairy — there’s no way around it, that’s the cookie. Some flavors contain additional tree nuts (hello, pistachio). Everything is baked in a home kitchen that handles tree nuts, so we can’t accommodate severe nut allergies.
Is this a licensed kitchen?
Yes — jdsmacs operates as a registered Cottage Food Operation out of a home kitchen in San Francisco County. You’ll find the permit disclosure in the footer of every page.
